About Banderas Bay
Banderas Bay is the heart of every Puerto Vallarta trip. At roughly 42 km across, it is one of the largest bays in Mexico, and its deep, sheltered waters draw humpback whales, dolphins, manta rays and sea turtles through the year.
Most marine tours leave from Marina Vallarta or the Los Muertos pier. Morning departures have the calmest water and the clearest visibility for snorkeling; afternoons bring the steady breeze that sailors love.

Granite arches rising from the sea just south of town, home to reef fish, rays and some of the most accessible snorkeling in the bay.
Marina Vallarta
The main departure point for catamarans, sailing yachts and dive boats, with cafés and a boardwalk for pre-tour breakfast.
